Lower Railroad Creek Trail #1240

This trail within Glacier Peak Wilderness takes off in the heavy timber near Domke Lake from the junction with Emerald Park Trail #1230. It travels up the south side of Railroad Creek towards Holden Village.

Heavy post-fire damage. Expect to encounter numerous downed logs, snags, and washouts.

All stream crossings can be hazardous during spring and early summer. Camp areas are infrequent along the trail but there is a camp available at the start (junction with Emerald Park Trail). This Trail was affected by the Domke Lake Fire in 2007.
