Area Status: Closed
The Table Mountain Fire burned through the area around the horsecamp. The fire started on September 9, 2012 during a lightning storm and burned about 42,000 acres. Most of the facilities within the campground, such as picnic tables and toilets, were not burned by the fire. The area surrounding the camp was burned as well as one campsite and hitching post. There will still be considerable work for area safety needed before opening the campground. The area closure for Table Mountain is still in effect.
