North Fork Taneum Trail #1377

The North Fork Taneum Trail begins at Forest Road 3300 and ends at Cle Elum Ridge Trail #1326.

The trail crosses to the north side of Road 33, parallels the road for several miles, crosses the 3300-133 road, and follows near the North Fork Taneum Creek, crossing it several times. All crossings in the lower eight miles of the trail are now bridged. After passing the junction with Fishhook Flat Trail 1378, the trail enters logging areas and crosses other roads. Just past Butte Creek (at 9.4 miles) is the junction with Lightning Point Trail 1377.2, which goes to the right and uphill for 2.4 miles (very steep in spots) to connect with Cle Elum Ridge Trail 1326. At the 13-mile mark, the 1377 trail leaves the logging, and continues along the creek to the old trail shelter. From the shelter it climbs sharply to Windy Pass and ends at the junction with Cle Elum Ridge Trail 1326.
