Goat Peak Trail #958C

A very steep, long climb with no water within William O. Douglas Wilderness, this trail is for the endurance hiker. Trail is difficult and dangerous in sections where trail is narrow or non-existent across steep slide areas.

At the summit of Goat Peak, there are views from Glacier Peak to Mount Adams and everything in-between.  Slippery when wet, with an elevation gain of 2600 feet, the trail is closed to horses.
