Lake Ethel Trail #1585
Area Status: Closed
This steep, dry trail crosses several logging roads located on private lands in the Coulter Creek area. Logging activity may continue to occur on these private lands. It reaches Lake Ethel and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Boundary in about 5 miles.
This trail provides access deeper into Alpine Lakes Wilderness as well.

Operational Hours: | A section of Lake Ethel Trail (1.7 miles from trail head) is now closed to public access. Forest Service Road 6930 is still accessible to foot traffic, bicycles, and motorcycles. There is No public access via the trail through private land. |

Directions:The trailhead is located 2-1/2 miles south on Gill Creek Road #6940 off of US Highway 2 in Merritt. Merritt is about 20 miles west of Leavenworth.
