Poe Mountain Trail #1520

CLOSED DUE TO WILDFIRE

This steep, dry trail leads to a high ridgetop with an old fire lookout site within Glacier Peak Wilderness.  It switchbacks continually, gaining nearly 1000 vertical feet per mile.  It affords great views deep into the wilderness and is especially colorful in fall.

Directions:

Access from Little Wenatchee Ford Trailhead.

From Leavenworth, WA take US-2 north for 15 miles then take WA-207 N for 10.5 miles and stay left on Little Wenatchee River Road (Forest Road 6500) and follow for almost 14 miles to the trailhead.
