General Information
Directions:From Winthrop, Washington travel west on Highway 20 for about 18 miles. Then turn right onto Forest Road 300 and follow for about 0.6 miles, to trailhead on right.

Day Hiking
Steep, southfacing trail melts out earlier than other area trails.
Backpacking
This south-facing trail can be hot and dry in the summer months.
Viewing Wildlife
Early morning is a good time to see a variety of wildlife.
Viewing Plants
Beautiful wildflowers in springtime.
Viewing Scenery
This trail climbs to 6000 feet and provides great scenic views of Silver Star Mountain and Early Winters area from the summit.
