Twisp River Horse Camp Entrance Sign

This horse camp is located in the southwest end of Twisp River Area. Access to nearby trails Twisp River Trail #440South Creek Trail #401 and Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.



Loading ramp, hitch rails and feed stations are available.

Campground area is intended for stock users. Maximum length of site is 30 feet. This camp is maintained by the Methow Valley Chapter of the Backcountry Horsemen of Washington.

General Information


Turn west off State Highway 20 onto paved Okanogan County road #9114 (Twisp River road), that turns into forest road #44.  After War Creek campground, cross the Twisp River and continue on forest road #4430 which turns into forest road #4435, 22.6 miles Northwest of Twisp
