Located near the confluence of War Creek and the Twisp River, this campground has two sections. One section stretches along the seasonal War Creek and has long parking aprons that are well-suited to recreational vehicles. The sounds of Twisp River can be heard in the distance. There are a few sites in a small grassy meadow. Mature Douglas fir provide ample shade to most campsites. The other section is small and just off the roadway. It is best suited for smaller vehicles as well as tent campers. A thick middle and understory in both sections provide good privacy between some sites. Trash receptacles are not provided. There are trailheads nearby. Rattlesnakes occasionally seen in the area. Maximum length of some sites is 25 feet.
There are four trails located within 2 miles of the campground: War Creek Trail #408, South Fork War Creek Trail #409, Eagle Creek Trail #410 and Oval Creek Trail #410A. Northwest Forest Pass, or it's equivalent (Golden Age, Golden Access, America the Beautiful Pass) required for parking at nearby trailheads. $5 day pass can be purchased at the trailheads.
