Long Draw Trail #340
3.5 miles. More difficult.
Take the Boundary Trail #533 for 6 miles to the junction with Long Draw Trail #340 to the right. This 3.5 mile trail travels through areas of lodgepole pine, whitebark pine, and spruce as well as numerous wildflower meadows. Panoramic views occur at about 3 miles near Goodenough Peak. After Goodenough Peak, the trail winds down the hill onto State Land. This trail is rated as more difficult. Water is available near Horseshoe Basin. This trail is part of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail system.

Directions:From the town of Loomis, travel north on County road #9425 for 2 miles to junction of #9425 and County road #4066. Turn West on County road #4066 which becomes Forest Service Road #39. Drive on Forest Service Road #39 for 14 miles to Forest Service Road #3900-500. Drive Forest Service Road #3900-500 for 6 miles to Irongate Trailhead. The #3900-500 road is maintained for high clearance vehicles only and is not recommended for passenger cars.
