French Cabin Creek Trail


The French Cabin Creek Trail begins at Forest Service Road #4308 and ends at Kachess Ridge Trail #1315.

SETTING: Old-growth forest, small meadows, clearcut.

Begins at the junction of two spur roads (barricaded) and climbs steadily to its upper terminus with Kachess Ridge Trail #1315. The trail is relatively gentle and travels through a forested environment until entering a large private clearcut, with about the last 200 yards of the trail in the clearcut.

General Information

Directions:

From Cle Elum take State Highway 903 north about 15 miles to just past Lake Cle Elum, then take a left on Forest Road 4308. Stay on 4308 for several miles up French Cabin Creek to the head of the valley. The trailhead is along the road.


Parking:

Parking for several vehicles along the 4308 Road or up the short spur that the trail begins on.  The short spur is not recommended for passenger cars.
