Tunnel Creek Trail in the forest.

A quiet forested hike within Buckhorn Wilderness. Beautiful vistas of The Brothers and Hood Canal from the top of the ridge. Trail is 4.1 miles to Harrison Lake and 4.7 miles to the ridgetop.

The trail follows South Fork Tunnel Creek for three miles through old-growth forest. Tunnel Creek Shelter is at 2.7 miles. After 3 miles the trail climbs steadily to Harrison Lake and then to the crest of the ridge. Continue for a very steep descent to Dosewallips River Road for a one way trip of  7.9 miles.
