Kloshe Nanitch Trail #882.1
This 7 mile trail starts from Kloshe Nanitch trailhead at West Snider Road near milepost 211 on highway 101. It begins with a mile of gentle grade up to the first stream crossing, then climbs 3,145 feet turning into moderate then difficult grades with rock outcrops, a variety of plant life, and some impressive views. The trail accesses Kloshe Nanitch Viewpoint at 3.5 miles. At 7 miles it links the west side of the Sol Duc Valley via Snider Ridge to Mt. Muller Loop Trail.
From the lush temperate forest valley, the trail climbs up to a transition with the high elevation Silver Fir Zone. There are an especially wide spectrum of plant species within these two vegetation zones. Perched at the end of the trail on a rock outcrop, Kloshe Nanitch Lookout observation area provides spectacular views of the Sol Duc Valley, Mt. Olympus and Lake Crescent.
Caution: Watch children when near rock outcrops and cliffs. Flower meadows are very fragile. Please stay on the trail!

General Information
Directions:Access this trail from Kloshe Nanitch Trailhead or Kloshe Nanitch Lookout Observation Site, the upper trailhead.
Alert: Forest Service Road 3040-595, which accesses the upper trailhead at the Kloshe Nanitch lookout, is a steep, rocky one-lane road with turnouts that requires experienced back road drivers and high clearance vehicles.
