This campground is located at 7050 feet, on the shores of a scenic high mountain lake. The entire campground was remodeled with new accessibile facilites in 2005, but it does not have any RV hook-ups available. Hazard Lake is a "no wake" lake, with row boats and canoes being the most popular way to enjoy fishing and scenic viewing. There are several wonderful hiking trails leaving from the lake area. This campground is located approximately 27 miles from the town of McCall, over 20 miles of which are graveled road.

There will be walk in availability for the 2016 season until September 27th and the gate will be closed September 28th. Due to freezing temperatures, the water may need to be shut off prior to September 19th.

McCall, Idaho is 27 miles
From McCall, take Highway 55 northwest toward New Meadows. Four miles from Mcall on Highway 55, turn off the highway onto Forest road 257 to Brundage Mountain Ski Area. There is a large sign on the highway with directions to Brundage Ski Area, Goose Lake and Hazard Lake. Travel up 257 past the ski area, where the road then turns to gravel. Travel past Goose Lake, up to Hazard Lake. The road is graveled and narrow in places.
