Electricity Temporarily Out in Mingus Campground

A lightning strike knocked out the electricity in Mingus Campgound late in the 2012 camping season.  Repairs will be extensive and are not expected to be complete until late summer or early autumn of 2013.

If you plan to visit Mingus Campground toward the end of the 2013 camping season, and require electricity, please call the Verde Ranger Station at (928) 567-4121 to ask if the electricity is back on.  Campsites are currently available at the reduced rate of $10.00/night in E-Loop, and $6.00/night in the tent loops.  Extra vehicles are $5.00/night.

Located in the cool pines atop Mingus Mountain, this campground offers a spectacular view of the Verde Valley, the red rocks of Sedona, the San Fransisco Peaks near Flagstaff, and the Mogollon Rim.
