  • Sites 2, 17, 18, and 19 have electricity; Fee = $10.00/night
  • Sites 1 and 3-16 do not have electricity; Fee = $6.00/night
  • The $5.00 fee for a second vehicle still applies in sites with or without electricity.

Site Description: Located in the cool pines atop Mingus Mountain, this campground offers a spectacular view of the Verde Valley, the red rocks of Sedona, the San Fransisco Peaks near Flagstaff, and the Mogollon Rim.

  • Campfires in developed fire pits only
  • Fireworks are prohibited

  • OHV/ATV use prohibited in the campground
  • Maximum length of stay: 14 days

Parking:
  • Maximum vehicle length: 22-40 feet
     

Directions:

Off of Hwy 89A (between Prescott Valley and Jerome), turn on Forest Road 104 (at the Summit Picnic Site). Follow dirt road approximately 2.5 miles to 4-way stop. A right turn takes you into the campground.

Campground Camping

  • Bear country: Food must be stored securely and campsites kept clean!
  • Each camp site usually accommodates one vehicle towing a camp trailer plus one additional vehicle (there is a charge for additional vehicle). Vehicles must be parked in space provided on site - not along the road.
  • Sites are designed for 5 people; a maximum of 10 is allowed only to accommodate a single large family.
     

RV Camping

  • Depending on the site, trailers between 22 feet to 40 feet in length can be accommodated, but there is no water and no dump station.
