This campground is located in the Granite Basin Recreation Area.

Note: This site closes following especially heavy snow and when the roads are too icy.  If you plan to visit and want to make sure it is open, please contact the Bradshaw Ranger Station: 928-443-8000.

Directions:

From the corner of Iron Springs Rd. and Williamson Valley Rd in Prescott: Northwest on Iron Springs approximately 3 miles. Right on Granite Basin Rd. Follow road 2.1 miles. Yavapai Campground is on the left.

Campground Camping

Nestled in granite rock outcrops adjacent to Granite Mountain Wilderness Area.  Located in mixed Pinyon Juniper and Ponderosa Pine with plently of sunlight; located only a few miles from Prescott. 

Each camp site usually accommodates one vehicle towing a camp trailer plus one additional vehicle (there is a charge for additional vehcile).  Vehicles must be parked in space provided on site - not along side of road. 

Sites are designed for 5 people; a maximum of 10 is allowed only to accommodate a single large family.  At least one person must occupy a campsite during the first night after camping equipment is set up.
