A small lake located in the cool pines of Mingus Mountain, Mingus Lake is periodically stocked with rainbow trout.

General Information

Directions:

Between Prescott Valley and Jerome on Hwy. 89A, turn on Forest Road 104 (at Summit Picnic Site). Follow dirt road for approximately 2 miles. Watch for the lake on your right.

Lake and Pond Fishing

  • Rainbow trout are periodically stocked in Mingus Lake.
  • A valid fishing or combination license is required for resident and non-resident anglers 10 years of age or older fishing any public accessible water in Arizona.
  • For more information please visit: www.azgfd.gov

Picnicking

  • Though normally visited by anglers, Mingus Lake has one ramada-sheltered picnic table available for visitors to enjoy a picnic by the lake.
