White Spar Campground


Located in the ponderosa pine forest along Highway 89, this campground is within an easy drive from the city of Prescott. The camp sites are generally large enough to accommodate most recreational vehicles (not exceeding 40 feet in length). The paved road system to and throughout the campground makes for easy access to each camping site.


  • 57 campsites with picnic tables, fire pits, and grills (12 in the winter)
  • Drinking water (seasonally, May - October) for use on site, but not for filling RV water tanks
  • 4 vault toilets
  • Garbage service


Note: This site closes following especially heavy snow and when the roads are too icy.  If you plan to visit and want to make sure it is open, please contact the Bradshaw Ranger Station: 928-443-8000.

General Information


From Prescott, turn south onto Montezuma Street from Gurley Street. Stay on Montezuma Street (which turns into Whitespar, then U.S. Highway 89) for 3 miles.  The campground entrance is just off the highway on your left. The road and spurs are paved.

Campground Camping

  • Located in the ponderosa pine forest three miles from downtown Prescott, this campground has 57 sites with 12 sites open year-round, though the water is off during the winter.
  • Each camp site usually accommodates one vehicle towing a camp trailer plus one additional vehicle (there is a charge for additional vehicle). Vehicles must be parked in space provided on site - not along side the road.
  • Sites are designed for 5 people; a maximum of 10 is allowed only to accommodate a single large family.
