Wigwam Trailhead


Area Status: Open

Wigwam Trail provides access to Lost Creek Wilderness and to Wigwam Park where the trail continues beyond the South Park Ranger District boundary. This moderate trail is a total of 11 miles and intersects with Brookside-McCurdy, Rolling Creek and Goose Creek Trails enabling hikers to form their own loops.

General Information

Parking:

There is a small spot for parking at the trailhead just outside the campground.


Accessibility:

The trail is open year round; however, it may be difficult to access this area during the winter months.


Directions:

From US Highway 285 just east of Jefferson, take County Road 56 for about 20 miles to the Lost Park Campground.  Lost Park Campground provides developed camping near the trailhead.  The trail begins at the east end of the campground.
