Bridge Crossing Picnic Area
A nice picnic area along the South Platte River and off of Jefferson County Road 67. There is no host on-site. Host is at Lone Rock Campground about 3.5 miles south from picnic area.
No campfires at the site; pedestal grills are available.

Directions:
There are two potential routes to access the Bridge Crossing picnic area from Denver:
The first is to travel south on Highway 85/ Santa Fe 10 miles to the town of Sedalia. Turn west on Highway 67 and travel past the town of Sprucewood, staying on Highway 67. When you get to the river road, continue south for 2 miles to Bridge Crossing Picnic Area.
The second route is to travel west on Highway 285 into the mountains to the town of Pine Junction. Turn south on Highway 126 and continue 22 miles to the town of Deckers. Turn left, heading north on Highway 67 and travel 4.5 miles to Bridge Crossing Picnic Area.

River and Stream Fishing
The South Platte River is known for its Gold Medal waters which offer a world-class fishing experience. This special designation is given only to the best trout streams in Colorado. Anglers can try their luck fishing for elusive brown and rainbow trout in these waters.
Fishing Regulations: A vailid Colorado Fishing license is required. From the lower boundary of the Wigwam Club toScraggy View Picnic Ground (which includes Bridge Crossing Picnic Area): artificial flies & lures only; bag & possession limit & minimum size for trout is two fish, 16 inches in length.
