Deer Creek Campground is a heavily wooded campground located at 9,168 feet. Mature trees provide shade and hiking trails are nearby. Deer Creek and Camp Creek meet to run next to the campground, providing the soothing sounds of running water. No dump station, electricity or water hook-ups available.

Fees
$16.00 fee per site for overnight camping from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
 
$15.00 fee per site for overnight camping after Labor Day weekend and before Memorial Day weekend.
 
Two vehicles  or one RV per site is included in the camping fee. $5.00 for a third vehicle.
 
$6.00 day use fee if not camping overnight.
 
Fees are payable by check or money order.
Self servicing fee tube is available.

Restrictions: The following restrictions apply to this campground:
  • Maximum 8 persons per site, 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks.
  • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground.
  • Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.
Closest Towns:

Highland Park is 3 miles east of the campground along Park County 47.

Denver/Morrison is approximately a 1.5 hour drive east of the campground via Highway 285.

Passes:

The Interagency Senior Pass (previously known as the Golden Age Pass) and the Interagency Access Pass qualifies for a 50% discount at concessionaire run campsites. The discount only applies to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party.

General Information

Directions:

From Denver, travel US Highway 285 south toward Fairplay for approximately 25 miles to the top of Crow Hill. Turn north onto Park County Road 43A going towards the community of Harris Park. After 7 miles, the road splits; stay left onto the dirt road. The campground will be on your left after 2 miles.


Accessibility:

Universally accessible picnic tables and vault toilet are available.


Parking:

Parking is available for either 2 vehicles or 1 recreational vehicle per campsite. Additional parking is available apart from the campsite.

$5.00 for a third vehicle. 2 vehicles per site are included in the camping fee.
