This campground has 5 campsites for TENT CAMPING ONLY. It is located at 8,900 feet. The campground is open year round and is first-come, first-served basis. There is no water available at this site.

$16.00 fee per site for overnight camping from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. $15.00 any other time.
$5.00 for a third vehicle. Two (2) vehicles per site are included in the camping fee.
$6.00 day use fee if not camping overnight.
Fees are payable by check or money order.
Self servicing fee tube is available.
Golden Age and Golden Access Cardholder: 50% discount off the camping fee only.

Restrictions: Tents Only. Please drive slowly and enjoy the trip. This road is not actively maintained during the winter. Also, the following restrictions apply to this campground:
  • Maximum 8 persons per site, 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle.
  • Maximum 24' RV
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks.
  • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground.
  • Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.

Passes: The Interagency Senior Pass (previously known as the Golden Age Pass) and the Interagency Access Pass qualifies for a 50% discount at concessionaire run campsites. The discount only applies to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party.
Operated By: The Rocky Mountain Recreation Company manages all campgrounds on the South Platte Ranger District.

General Information


Located off Park County Road 62. From US Highway 285, turn north at Grant on to Park County Road 62 going towards Guanella Pass. Campsite will be on the left hand side of the road.
