Saint Mary's Falls Trail #624
FDR 370 to Saint Mary's Falls
This trail follows Buffalo Canyon Creek through mature aspen stands and mixed pine and spruce forests to Saint Mary's Falls scenic area. The trail starts on the closed portion of Gold Camp Road (Forest Service Road 370) and winds south and west to the water falls. After passing by the falls area, the trail then makes it way to Forest Service Road 381, near the intersection with motorized trail # 672. The falls cascade down a granite wall 250-300 feet. Here there is a very nice view of Colorado Springs, with the Broadmoor Hotel in the foreground. Trout may be seen in the creek. This is a non-motorized hiking trail.

Hike about one mile past the locked gate at the intersection of North Cheyenne Canyon Road, Gold Camp Road, and High Drive Road. On the closed section of Gold Camp Road, you will come upon historic Tunnel #3. Take the trail (on the left side) that goes up over the old tunnel (the tunnel is gated off to entry on both ends).
