Area Status: Open

Hankins Pass Trail is the most southern route within Lost Creek Wilderness. This 6.8-mile moderate-to-difficult trail intersects with Brookside-McCurdy, Lake Park and Goose Creek Trails, offering the hikers options to form their own loop.

General Information

Accessibility:

This trail is open year round; however, access will be difficult during the winter months.


Directions:

1.  From County Road 77 (Tarryall Road) select either the Lizard Rock Trail out of Spruce Grove Campground or the Brookside-McCurdy Trail from the Twin Eagles Trailhead at the Twin Eagles Campground.  Both of these trails intersect with Hankins Pass Trail.

2.  From US Highway 24 in Lake George, turn north on County Road 77 (Tarryall Road) to County Road 211 (Matukat Road) and turn right.  Follow this road to the Goose Creek Trailhead and take the trail to the south.
