Rio Grande Reservoir Picnic Site
Area Status: Open
This site overlooks the Rio Grande Reservoir and the Weminuche Wilderness to the south. It consists of a small parking lot and some picnic tables. The view is great but access down to the reservoir from here is very steep and not recommended.

General Information
Directions: From Creede CO, travel west on State Hiway 149 for 19 miles. Turn left and go west on Forest Service road 520. Stay on 520 for another 13 miles to the midpoint of the Reservoir. Turn left park in the parking lot overlooking the lake.Activities
