Current Conditions: | The Forest Service working in partnership with the Baca Water and Sanitation District and Manitou Foundation have developed an agreement and plan to provide temporary public access to the Cottonwood Creek Trail. At this time Forest Service crews are assessing the trail condition and will be scheduling the required trail maintenance to ensure the trail is open and passible. The current condition is unknown, but we have received many reports of areas where the trail is difficult to locate, trees across the trail and drainage issues. We will update this information as more becomes available. The trail head is open for public use, however the trail condition may limit access and it is advisable to contact the Ranger Station prior to use for the most recent update on work completed. For more information, contact the Saguache Ranger District at 719-655-2547. |
