General Information
Directions:From Applegate, OR, drive east on Highway 238 for 6 miles. Then go right onto Hamilton Road and follow for 2 miles and take a right onto Upper Applegate Road. Follow Upper Applegate Road for 17 miles. Just after crossing the Carberry Bridge over Applegate Lake turn left and continue 1.5 miles to the junction of Forest Roads 1040 and 1050. This junction is a wide spot in a gravel road just south of the California state line. Turn right on Forest Road 1040 and follow for 14 miles to the junction with Forest Road 600. Turn left and drive 0.2 mile to the trailhead at the end of the road.
