Silver Creek Trail #1134
This trail is the only access into a non-motorized "back country recreation area." The trail is steep down to Silver Creek, but has spectacular scenery. The trail is difficult to find south of Silver Creek. You must hike downstream to locate the rest of the trail. The trail eventually connects to the Todd Creek primitive road (south of Silver Creek).
Opportunity to access the Silver Falls Overlook Trail #1134A spurs off this trail at about 1 mile from the upper trailhead. Silver Falls is the largest falls on Galice Ranger District.
This trail is located in the Biscuit Fire area that burned in the year 2002. Although Forest Service trail crews have been repairing and maintaining many of the affected trails since the Biscuit Fire, visitors should take into consideration (because of the substantially increased risk of fire-killed snags falling) that travel and camping may be more difficult and require greater concern for safety.
THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED DUE TO ACCESS ISSUES.
