The Robinson Prairie Loop Trail provides a nice, easy ride with views of Mt. McLoughlin and some good play areas. Makes a loop around Robinson Butte from the Fish Lake Trail (area is unavailable).

NOTE: Dogs are not allowed on designated nordic ski trails on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest and Fremont-Winema National Forest.

Directions:

From Medford, OR, follow Highway 140 east to Summit Sno-Park located at milepost 28.5. Sno-Park has parking for about 5-7 vehicles.

From Medford, OR, follow Highway 140 east to Fish Lake Sno-Park located at milepost 30.5.  Sno-Park has restrooms, parking for 35 vehicles, a picnic shelter, and is located near the Fish Lake Resort (cabins, cafe, store). Please note that access to the snowmobile trails from Fish Lake Sno-Park is through the Campground. Please enter and exit only at the trailhead bulletin board and stay on the marked / groomed trail. By cooperating you will help protect young trees and vegetation planted in the campground.

From Ashland, OR, follow the Dead Indian Memorial Road east to Deadwood Sno-Park located at milepost 22.  Sno-Park has parking for 8-10 vehicles (Oregon State Sno-Park Permit required). There are no designated trails originating from Deadwood, but there are numerous Forest Roads in the vicinity.

From Ashland, OR, follow the Dead Indian Memorial Road east to Big Draw Sno-Park located at milepost 26.  Sno-Park is an informal "pull-out" where a wide spot adjacent the road is occasionally plowed for parking (no permit required). The Hyatt Lake / Lake O'Woods snowmobile trail crosses the highway here. Pederson Sno-Park is located about 0.5 mile east of the Jackson / Klamath county line. Pederson is another informal Sno-Park (no permit required) with limited parking. The Pederson Snowmobile trail crosses the highway just west of the Sno-Park. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail crosses the highway at the Pederson Sno-Park also. It is designated and marked for nordic skiing from the sno-park north to the South Brown Mountain Shelter. Snowmobilers can reach the shelter via the Pederson and Hyatt / Lake O'Woods trails.
