This trail is maintained periodically. It follows an old harvest area along a logging road. The road is the basis of the trail. There are two short stretches of the trail which are very steep. At the top, the trail reaches Azalea Lake.

The lake provides some fishing, but limited access, because of brush encroachment. There are also several unimproved campsites along the shore of the lake. Rock Creek Campground is just north of the trailhead.
