Sunny Gulch Campground is composed of 45 campsites including 8 double-sites situated in a lodgepole pine overstory. 10 of the sites accept reservations including 1 of the double-sites, and the Sunny Gulch Pavillion & Picnic Area. Reservations can be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling (877)444-6777. All other campsites are first-come, first-serve. There is excellent fishing in the Salmon River which includes rainbow trout, westslope cutthroat trout and occasional hybrid cutbow and bull trout. A day use area for picnicking and fishing is located near the campground entrance. This campground is a mere 3 miles from Redfish Lake, but is quieter and less crowded. There is access to great hiking trails with views into the Sawtooth Wilderness and the White Cloud Wilderness.
