Alturas Inlet Campground, located on beautiful Alturas Lake, is composed of 28 campsites, including 8 double sites. A day use beach and picnic area is located within walking distance of the campground. A day use picnic area is located at the north end of the lake. Canoeing and fishing are available on nearby Perkins Lake. A hiking trailhead leading into the Sawtooth Wilderness is located at the end of Forest Rd 205. ATV’s are allowed on FS Rd 205 but are not allowed in the wilderness or in the campgrounds. Spend sunny summer days fishing for trout, waterskiing, sailing, motor boating, swimming, and/or picnicking by the lake.
