Chemeketan is a marvelously secluded, reservable group area located in a lodge pole pine forest. At the base of Galena Summit on HWY 75 take FS Rd 215 approximately 3 miles to the campground. Visitors can enjoy fishing for trout and steelhead in the Salmon River, exploring the Idaho Centennial Trail or admiring the marvelous views. It is available for use by individual campers as well as a group. It consists of thirteen individual camping sites and two group camping areas.
