Meadow Lake Campground

There are 18 tent and trailer sites with tent pads, picnic tables and fire rings with cooking grills. The campground also has  drinking water and wheelchair accesible vault toilts. The setting is along 13 acre Meadow Lake in a timbered setting with views of the rugged Lemhi Range. Mountain goats can be spotted on the slopes above the lake. Meadow Lake was once used to supply water to the town of Gilmore. The lake is stocked in summer with Rainbow Trout. At 10,720 feet, Meadow Lake Peak towers above the lake.  Pack in and Pack out refers to garbage and fish "guts".

ACCESS PASS – Available FREE of charge to US citizens that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities.  Must be maintained in person with written proof of disability.

General Information

Directions: From Leadore: Drive 17 miles south on Highway 28 and turn right (west) on to Forest Service Road #002, a gravel road that climbs 2,080 feet to the campground.
