Bonanza Group

This group campground is an ideal setting for large groups and family reunions. The site overlooks Bonanza Ghost town and is 2 miles from Custer ghost town. Plenty of hiking trails are in the area. Campground is by reservation only from memorial day through labor day, and is available on a graduated fee schedule, based upon the group size. there are picnic tables and fire rings with cooking grills for 12 sites. The campground has a spring to provide drinking water and accomodates trailers and RV's up to 50 feet long. There is a greywater dump station and garbage collection station. Groups will enjoy the large central gathering area on site.

General Information

Directions: From Stanley:Drive 11 miles east on Highway 75 to the Sunbeam Dam overlook. Turn left onto forest road #013 for about seven miles. Turn left at the Bonanza Guard station, and continue 1/2 mile beyond the guard station.From Challis:Drive 42 miles west on Highway 75 to the Sunbeam Dam overlook. Turn right onto forest road #013 for about seven miles. Turn left at the Bonanza Guard station, and continue 1/2 mile beyond the guard station.
