Bonanza Group Campground
This group campground is an ideal setting for large groups and family reunions. The site overlooks Bonanza Ghost town and is 2 miles from Custer ghost town. Plenty of hiking trails are in the area. Campground is by reservation only from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and is available on a graduated fee schedule, based upon the group size. There are picnic tables and fire rings with cooking grills for 12 sites. The campground has a spring to provide drinking water and accommodates trailers and RV's up to 50 feet long. There is a greywater dump station and garbage collection station. Groups will enjoy the large central gathering area on site.

General Information
Directions: From Stanley:Drive 11 miles east on Highway 75 to the Sunbeam Dam overlook. Turn left onto forest road #013 for about seven miles. Turn left at the Bonanza Guard station, and continue 1/2 mile beyond the guard station.From Challis:Drive 42 miles west on Highway 75 to the Sunbeam Dam overlook. This campground is only a short distance from both the Yankee Fork Dredge and the townsites of Bonanza and Custer. The area's rich mining history is interpreted through both guided (Memorial Day through Labor Day) and self-guided tours.
