The Sleeping Giant Picnic Site is located on the North Fork of the Shoshone River and has six sites with tables, a vault toilet, fire rings, cook grates, and food storage boxes. Nearby activities include fishing, hiking, and viewing and photographing wildlife and scenery. The Sleeping Giant Picnic Site is about three miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It's a great place to stop for lunch on your way to Yellowstone.

From Cody, travel west on U.S. Highway 14/16/20 for 48 miles to the picnic site, which is on the south side of the highway.
