The trail starts near a ridge top and travels downslope through timber and hardwood stands to the South Fork of the Smith River where it meets the South Kelsey Trail. Caution: horse travel on this trail may be difficult due to recent slides and steepness of the trail. It is advisable to walk the trail prior to riding horses.
