Current Conditions: Calaveras Ranger District (HWY 4)- This campground is first-come, first-serve. Some campsites may be closed due to Hazard Trees.
Reservations: No reservations, first-come, first-serve

Restrictions: Camping in designated camp sites only.
Closest Towns: Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Highway 49). Gas, groceries, camping supplies are available in Bear Valley and at Lake Alpine Lodge. Public (fee) showers available at Lake Alpine Lodge.

Passes: America the Beautiful passes accepted, reduces camping fee to $15.00 per night.

Campground Camping

Lake Alpine provides a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including low-speed boating (boat launch available), fishing, hiking, and biking. Interpretive Programs are offered by Forest Service rangers during the summer months.
