Sand Flat Campground is located six miles from the junction of Clark Fork Road and Highway 108. It is about 25 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station. There are 53 drive-in sites available and 15 walk-in sites, a total of 68. Each site has a table and a fire ring. Restrooms are vault toilets (some newer units are fully accessible) Four well supply potable water by hand pumps. There is a fee for parking extra cars.
An RV dump station is located on the entrance road to Clark Fork Campground. Campers staying at Clark Fort or Sand Flat Campgrounds may use the dump station without charge. Other users are charged a modest fee.

Summit Ranger District (HWY 108)- Campground closed for the season on 9/28/15. After 9/28/15, visitors are able to camp in Clark Fork CG A-Loop and at Sand Flat CG without a fee, however, there are no services. Campers must pack out their own trash.Snow on the Clark Fork Road from the junction of Highway 108, 4x4 and high clearance recommended.
Sand Flat Campground is open May through September, weather permitting.

American Land & Leisure operates Sand Flat Campground and charges the following fees:
$19.00 for a single-family site
American Land & Leisure operates this campground under a special use permit administered by the Forest Service. The fees paid by concessionaires finance the refurbishment of facilities in the campgrounds they operate.
Camp in designated sites only. A single campsite has a six person limit. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days. Campfire permits are not required in developed campgrounds. Do not burn plastic or metal. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it.

Potable water is available at wells throughout campground. Filling of RVs is prohibited.
Vault toilets are available in the campground. No RV dump station available.
