Shirttail Creek Campground is located on the north west shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir, this campground is set in a cedar and pine forest overlooking the reservoir. It is near the North Fork of the American River with access to trails, OHV riding and swimming.

OHV use is not permitted in the Sugar Pine Complex, only the staging area.
From I-80: Take the Foresthill Road exit for 17 miles to the town of Foresthill. Continue on the road for 9 miles to Sugar Pine Road. Turn left and continue on Sugar Pine Road for 9 miles and take a right on the first road after the Sugar Pine Recreation Area sign. Travel 1 1/2 miles to the campground.
Fire rings; double and triple sites available; trailer dump station.
30 sites located near a little creek that feeds Sugar Pine Reservoir. Do not confuse this campground with Sugar Pine Point. This campground is located near Foresthill City. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Beginning with the 3rd vehicle a per day per vehicle fee will be collected at the campground. Firewood sold at the campground. No refunds are given for bad weather. Site length includes all vehicles in tow. Check in with camp manager upon arrival.
