French Meadows Campground is located on the south shore of French Meadows Reservoir in a coniferous forest. Campground is in close proximity to the Granite Chief Wilderness.

10/16/2015: French Meadows campground is technically closed for the winter but camping is still allowed. There is no fee to camp. There are 2 bathrooms open but no camp hosts or trash service. Please pack out all your trash and help keep the restrooms and campground clean.

French Meadows is located within a State Game Refuge. Firearms or any other implements capable of taking game (including, but not limited to, bows & arrows and slingshots) are prohibited in this area; camping outside designated campground is prohibited in this area.
