Boca Campground is located on Boca Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest, 15 minutes from Truckee, California. The campground is situated on a peninsula above the western shore of Boca Reservoir. Mature Jeffrey pine and fir trees provide some shade in this open campground overlooking the reservoir. The campground offers single-family sites. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is not available for purchase at the campground. Firewood can be purchased locally. Accessible vault toilets. No water provided.

Boca Reservoir is a popular location for boating, water skiing, swimming, wind surfing and fishing. A boat ramp is located less than a mile from the campground, but may be subject to closure during low water level.Heavy motorized watercraft use in the summer. The Little Truckee River is nearby and offers some of Northern California's best fly-fishing. Special restrictions apply. The surrounding area offers hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle trails. OHV Trail Access: Non-street legal OHVs must be trailered from the campground to the OHV trails. Close to the accessible historic Boca Townsite Interpretative Trail.
No camping or campfires allowed outside of developed campgrounds.
Directions: From Truckee take Interstate 80 east for six miles to the Hirschdale exit. Go north and under I-80 for approximately one mile to Boca Reservoir. Take a left and cross Boca Dam and proceed approximately one mile to campground entrance on the right.

||ALERT! As of 6/04/2015, water levels at Boca reservoir are very low. Due to severe drought conditions several of our boat launching facilities may not be operable this year due to low water levels. Currently at Boca, Stampede, and Prosser the paved ramps are exposed above the water level. It is still possible to launch using a four wheel drive vehicle, but be prepared to back into the mud. Courtesy docks were not placed in the water this year due to low water levels.

||ALERT! Black bears have been frequenting the area. For your safety, keep a clean campsite, store food in a secure container, and dispose of trash properly.
Normal services available generally: Memorial Day Weekend through September. May open sooner or stay open longer – weather dependent.
From I-80: Take Hirschdale exit off I-80. Drive 1 mile north on Boca/Stampede Road. Campground is on south west shore of Boca Reservoir.
Restrooms and "rustic" campsites. Access from vehicle to campsite may require assistance.
