Betton Island Trail

  

This boardwalk loop trail is approximately ½ mile in length and leads the hiker from the beach to a ridge overlooking the Behm Canal. The trail winds through a second-growth forest of hemlock and cedar with occasional spruce. There are no recreation facilities at Betton Island or along the trail. A gathering area is located at the beginning of the trail. This trail is used frequently by tour groups.

General Information

Directions: By boat or kayak from Knudsen Cove (5.25 miles) or Ketchikan (16 miles). The trail is located on the west side of Betton Island, directly east of the northernmost point on the Tatoosh Rocks. The trailhead is located above a small sand and gravel beach.
