The Low Lake/big Lake trail is 2.3 miles long. The trail is unique in that it traverses both wilderness and non-wilderness areas. It begins at Thorne Arm - Fish Creek Cabin Site and follows the shore of Low Lake, then it parallels Fish Creek for another mile before crossing into designated wilderness.

General Information
Directions: This trail is accessible is by boat or floatplane. The trailhead is located at the head of Thorne Arm, near the Fish Creek Cabin, 26 miles from Ketchikan. Both the cabin and trail are just outside the boundary of Misty Fiords National Monument Wilderness. A mooring buoy is located near the trailhead. Boaters are cautioned that this buoy offers little protection from south winds.
