The three-sided Adirondack-style shelter is located on the Three Lakes Trail system. The shelter was rebuilt in the mid-2000's and is available for day and overnight use. The shelter is free and first come, first served.
Lake and Pond Fishing
Trout fishing from the rowboat or from shore is popular on this small lake. Check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game at www.adfg.alaska.gov for the most current regulations.

Boat and bank
The Three Lakes Trail system has trailheads at the beginning of the Sand, Hill, and Crane trails. They are all located off of the Three Lakes Loop Road. The Adirondack-style shelter can be found on Shelter Lake, about midway between Sand Lake and Hill Lake.
Boating - Non-Motorized
The Forest Service provides a rowboat for users to access areas across this small lake. Please tie the rowboat securely to the post following use.
