General Information
Directions: Access is via the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad from Skagway, AK starting May 01 and ending September 30. Take the train to the Glacier whistle stop and hike the 1.5 mile trail to the cabin. Make reservations at least 24 hours in advance for train transportation. Rate information and reservations are available by calling the railroad at 800-343-7373. From October 01 through April 30 there is no permissible access to the cabin along the train tracks. The tracks and the land around them are controlled by the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) railroad. For public safety, the only available access along the tracks is as a passenger aboard the train during their season of operation. It is WP&YR policy to restrict any other access along the tracks. Being on the tracks at any time could potentially be very dangerous. The only safe and permissible access to the cabin during those months when the train is not running is by helicopter and landing at the helicopter pad near the trailhead.Activities
