Mgra Moose Lake Trail
This trail is in the Dredge Lakes area (part of the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area) south of Mendenhall Lake. The gradient of the trail is mostly level and the tread is firm glacial gravel. Some sections are under deep water most of the year due to beaver dams backing up water. In the winter when the flooded sections are frozen, the Moose Lake Trail provides a direct route to the shore of Mendenhall Lake. Vegetation is typical of early successional post-glaciation, including willow, alder, and cottonwood with scattered spruce and hemlock.
