Manzanita Bay Shelter Site Lookout/cabin

This is a rustic style 12' X 14' Pan Abode log cabin that was constructed in 1973. The cabin is located about 100 yards from the lake shore beside a spectacular series of cascading waterfalls and is surrounded by large old-growth spruce, hemlock, and cedar. FACILITIES: • Two Single & Double Bunks • Oil Stove (#1 Diesel fuel NOT provided) • Cooking Counter and Table • Shelves and Cupboard Space • Broom • 14' aluminum skiff with oars

General Information

Directions: The cabin is located in the Misty Fiords National Monument Wilderness, approximately 28 air miles northeast of Ketchikan on Revillagigedo Island on the scenic northwest arm of Manzanita Lake. Accessible by float plane or canoe. Refer to: USGS map Ketchikan C-4.
