Helm Bay Cabin
This is a 16' x 20' three-room Pan-Abode log cabin that was constructed in 1978. This cabin is located in the old-growth Sitka spruce and western hemlock rainforest and is adjacent to a large saltwater tide flat. The area is especially noted for crab, salmon, halibut, and red snapper. FACILITIES: • Two Single & Two Double Bunks • Wood Stove and Firewood • Cooking Counter and Table • Shelves and Cupboard Space • Ax/Maul/Splitting Wedges • Broom.
Bring your own firewood as it cannot be guaranteed.

General Information
Directions: The cabin is located behind Forss Island on the west shore of Helm Bay, about 24 miles from Ketchikan. It is accessible by floatplane or by boat. There is a state-maintained floating dock off shore near the cabin. Refer To: USGS Ketchikan C6Activities
