Petersburg Lake Cabin
The Petersburg Lake wooden pan-abode style cabin has a wood stove, 2 double lower bunks, 2 single upper bunks, wooden table and benches, outhouse, axe/maul, and rowboat. Firewood is provided for wood stove use only, but is not guaranteed. Life jackets, bedding, and cooking utensils are not provided. The cabin is located in the Petersburg Creek-Duncan Salt Chuck Wilderness, which is managed for natural conditions. Be aware that use of motorized equipment or mechanized transportation is not allowed, with the exceptions of motorized boats or airplanes.The area around the lake and creek is flat (103' (31 m) elevation); otherwise, steep terrain dominates.

Reservations may be made up to 180 days in advance.

River and Stream Fishing
The Petersburg Lake Trail, which runs south from the cabin, accesses the creek and adjacent ponds. Outstanding steelhead, coho, sockeye, and pink salmon fishing in the creek. Check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game at www.adfg.alaska.gov for the most current regulations.

Day Hiking
The 10.5-mile long Petersburg Lake Trail connects the Kupreanof State Dock with the Petersburg Lake Cabin.
